Dusetos elderate

Dusetos elderate

Heraldry. Dusetos has never had a historical coat of arms. The Heraldry Commission approved the locals’ intentions to use horse symbols: after all, Dusetos has been hosting the traditional horse race on the famous Lake Sartai or the nearby hippodrome every winter for centuries. The coat of arms features three red horses in a silver background. In heraldry a hose symbolises happiness, victory, life force, beauty and speed.

The design was created by the artist Arvydas Každailis. Dusetos’ coat of arms was approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania on 28 September 1999.
